How to Get AI to Sell For You

Joel Salinas and I went live to show you exactly how we use AI to get clients — not just content. Watch the replay + grab our AI toolkit

How do you get AI to recommend you?

You optimize your content and sales pages so that AIs like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity have enough structured information about you, your authority, and your offer to recommend you confidently when a buyer asks. Most creators skip this entirely. That's the gap Joel Salinas and I built an AI toolkit bundle to close.

There’s a gap in how most creators use AI.

Everyone’s using it to create.

Some use to build apps and tools.

But almost nobody is using AI to get clients.

That’s the gap Joel Salinas and I went live today to close.

The tech had some strong opinions about that plan, so we got kicked out of the live but we made it through.

Watch the full video to see how we use AI to get sales.

Why AI discoverability?

67% of buyers now start their purchase journey by asking AI (According to the 2026 AI & Search Behavior Study).

Not Google, or social media. AI.

And here’s the thing about AI recommendations - there’s no page two. There’s no scrolling. AI gives you three to six names, then bluntly tells the person who to go with. One or two names.

That’s it.

If you’re not in those results, you’re invisible to more than half the buyers in your space. Because AI doesn’t know you well enough to recommend you.

The ability for AIs like ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini to find, understand, and recommend you is now a core part of any serious creator business strategy. And right now, almost no one is doing it.

I found this out the hard way. A potential buyer emailed me once to say she loved my work, but they’d asked Gemini about me and it had absolutely nothing.

That was the moment I went deep on this.

Isn’t it too late?

Not at all. Quite the opposite.

If you start now, you’re early. Almost nobody is optimized for this.

I work with agencies in my 9-to-5. They charge companies tens of thousands of euros to handle SEO and digital presence. And even they are barely scratching the surface of AI discoverability, because they still think in Google terms.

Which means the window to get ahead of this is open.

But it won’t stay open for too long.

The creators who start optimizing now - their content, their sales pages, their authority signals - are the ones AI will be trained to recommend six months from now, twelve months from now. The ones who wait will be trying to play catch-up against people who are already established in the AI results.

My coaching page scores 4.5 out of 10 for AI optimization. And it’s already sending me clients - I show this in the video.

That’s not a flex. That’s proof of how early we still are.

The floor is low right now. That’s the opportunity.

Two ways AI can drive you sales

Joel and I covered two sides of the same coin.

My side - inbound AI discoverability: How to get AI to recommend your sales pages and articles to potential clients and buyers. I built two audit prompts for this. One for sales pages. One for articles. Each analyzes 10+ specific elements that AI models look for before they’re confident enough to recommend you, things like outcome clarity, social proof, FAQs, authority signals, freshness, and a single clear call to action.

I ran my own coaching page through it live. It scored 4.5 out of 10.

And yet, I’m already getting coaching clients from ChatGPT. Founding members from Claude too.

Which tells you one thing: we’re still early. If a 4.5/10 page is sending me clients from AI search, imagine what happens when you’re actually optimized.

Joel’s side - outbound AI-powered outreach: How to use AI to identify the right partners, sponsors, and high-ticket clients, and craft outreach messages that actually get responses. He built both a Claude artifact and a custom GPT for this. His outreach system landed him a real sponsorship deal with a huge brand. It works.

Together, it’s a full-circle system. Clients come to you through AI. And you go to partners with AI.

The tools we used during the live

Joel and I compiled all four tools into one Gumroad bundle for creators who want to close this gap.

Here’s exactly what’s inside:

  • Yana’s Sales Page Auditor - An 11-page AI prompt that runs your sales pages through 10 AI discoverability elements and gives you an interactive score + specific fixes. Works with Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini.

  • Yana’s Article Auditor - Same depth, different elements, built for long-form content and Substack posts. Scores your articles and tells you exactly what to change to show up in AI search results.

  • Joel’s Partner Outreach Dashboard - A Claude artifact that identifies the right partners based on your audience and platform, then builds a custom outreach strategy and message for each prospect.

  • Joel’s Outreach GPT - The ChatGPT version of the same tool, for those who prefer that workflow.

Everything comes with full setup instructions and guidance on how to turn the prompts into Claude Skills, so you set this up once and it runs automatically every time you create content.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is AI discoverability for creators? AI discoverability is how well AI search engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, and Gemini can find, understand, and recommend you when a buyer asks about your topic area. Unlike Google, AI doesn’t show you ten blue links — it gives one or two confident recommendations. Being discoverable means being one of those names.

Why isn’t Google SEO enough anymore? Google SEO and AI discoverability overlap, but they’re not the same. Google ranks pages based on backlinks, keywords, and technical signals. AI engines rank based on authority, clarity, specificity, and whether your content directly answers the questions buyers are asking. You need both, but AI search is growing faster. You need keywords and links for Google, but you need to make AI confident that you are the right person to recommend - that’s the core difference.

How do I know if AI can already recommend me? Open any major AI in an incognito window, without logging in, and ask: “Who are the best [your niche] creators/coaches/newsletters?” or “What do you know about [your name]?” If your name doesn’t appear, or the AI has nothing to say about you, your AI discoverability needs work.

Can Substack newsletters rank in AI search results? Yes. Substack posts (the part above the paywall and all free posts) are indexed by Google, and AIs - if you enable this in your publication settings. Optimizing your Substack posts with the right structure, keywords, authority signals, and FAQs increases the likelihood that AI will cite and recommend your work.

What’s the difference between inbound and outbound AI strategy for creators? Inbound AI strategy means optimizing your content and pages so AI recommends you to buyers automatically. Outbound AI strategy means using AI to identify partners, sponsors, and clients, and craft personalized outreach messages that improve your success rate. Both are in the toolkit.
