You Don't Need to Be an Expert. You Just Need to Be Human.
And the fastest way to beat imposter syndrome.

There’s a lie that’s been silently crushing a lot of new writers.
It sounds like this:
“I’m not experienced enough to talk about it.”
Here’s the truth: nobody actually cares if you’re an “expert.”
What people want is someone who’s just two steps ahead of them. Someone who still remembers what the rocks in the road feel like under their feet.
The idea that you need a certificate, 10,000 hours, and a gray beard to start teaching or sharing?
Obsolete.
Dead.
Buried somewhere next to dial-up internet.
If you’re still learning, still building, still figuring it out, good! You’re exactly who people want to hear from.
Because here’s the problem with the so-called “gurus”:
They’re too far gone.
They’re standing on some golden mountain, talking about battles they fought five years ago against enemies that don’t even exist anymore.
Their advice? Outdated.
Their struggles? Not yours.
Their world? A museum.
Don’t get me wrong: they do have something valuable to say. But it’s valid for ages ago. Not today. Not now.
So it’s not relevant anymore.
What the world needs today is not another expert. It needs another human.
Someone messy.
Someone who’s struggling.
Someone who isn’t afraid to say, “This is hard, and here’s how I’m surviving it.”
Learn the thing.
Share the thing.
Document your wins, your faceplants, your “how-did-I-even-make-it-through-this” days.
You’re not creating content to be crowned “Smartest Person on the Internet.”
You’re building trust.
You’re building social proof.
You’re giving people a reason to believe you when you finally do sell something.
Content isn’t king anymore. Trust is.
When people trust you, they follow you. They recommend you. They buy from you.
And guess what?
Trust doesn’t come from polished perfection.
It comes from someone showing up sweaty, awkward, and honest. And still moving forward.
Here’s the formula:
Vulnerability beats authority.
Relevance beats expertise.
Trust beats volume.
Be useful.
Tell people what helped you survive today. Tell them what tripped you yesterday. Tell them how you fixed it.
You’re not talking to the version of you that has it all figured out.
You’re talking to the version of you from two steps ago — the one still panicking, still wondering, still hoping for a map.
So be the map.
It doesn’t have to be perfect.
It just has to be true.
Stay Unplugged!
