Write2Sell: The exact system I use that brought me 100+ paid subscribers on autopilot (step by step)

I'm gonna walk you through the entire process of how my backend automation works to bring me $5-10k months consistently. With an implementation checklist, so that you can rebuild it for yourself.

Today I’m going to show you exactly how my automation works on the backend.

You know, the one that made me 100+ paid subscribers while I sleep.

The same one that runs 24/7 making me $5K-10K per month consistently, ready to scale.

But before I continue, let me ask you first:

Loading...

The complete funnel (step-by-step)

STEP 1: Someone discovers my content

How they find me:

They see one of my Notes on Substack.

I post about 10 Notes per day (15 minutes total using my AI system).

The Notes talk about problems: automation struggles, AI confusion, selling discomfort, no time for content.

Example Note: “I wasted $5,000 on courses that gave me nothing about growing a newsletter. Then I analyzed 1,600 of my own posts with ChatGPT. Found 8 patterns. Now I make $5K/month. Data beats guessing.”

They see this. They click my profile.

STEP 2: They land on my Substack

They see:

  • My positioning (clear)

  • My recent posts (valuable)

  • My paid subscription offer (visible)

  • Subscribe button (everywhere)

Two things happen:

Option A: They subscribe right away (some do)

Option B: They don’t subscribe yet (most don’t)

Either way, I’m ready.

STEP 3: They subscribe (free)

Let’s say they subscribe.

They enter their email. Click subscribe.

What happens next:

Kit (my email automation tool) immediately triggers.

They get Email #1 of my 25-day automated sequence.

Not from Substack. From Kit.

Why? Because Substack doesn’t have advanced automation yet.

Technically, it does have some functionality called “drip campaigns”, only for bestsellers for now, and quite limited.

So I use Kit.

And in the next steps, I’m gonna break the entire process down. I’m gonna also give you an implementation checklist, so that you can rebuild it for yourself.

Let’s do this!

STEP 4: The automated sequence begins

Days 1-10: Education Phase

They get one email per day.

Pure value. 99% helpful content, 1% soft mention of my paid posts. Not my paid subscription or ask for an upgrade.

It’s what I call the “Free 10-day crash course” on how to grow your first 1000 subscribers.

It’s my email course, functioning as an automated lead magnet.

What these emails do:

  • Educates

  • Builds trust

  • Gets them to know me and my paid content

  • Opens a curiosity gap towards my paid content + soft sell in a CTA

Each email links back to my paid Substack posts. That’s the first step.

And it vital.

My data shows that more than 60% of the upgrades happen in the first 30 days after subscription.

That’s why this sequence is so important.

Days 11-20: Sales Phase

Now the emails shift.

I’ve done tons of analysis and research and test to come up with exactly this model of sequence.

Here' it goes…

The emails are still valuable. But now they’re selling. Here’s the structure of the exact emails I use:
