My numbers don’t lie.
My conversion rate, especially from native Substack readers, has been consistently high ever since I started last year.
Substack officially says the average is about 5% with 10% being what we should aim for. But the reality is different - most people are about 3%.
And yes, there are exceptions: I’ve seen 11,3% and I’ve also seen 18% (that’s the highest).
My conversion rates
I track that to isolate the effect from Substack alone, as I also have imported subscribers. It’s not 18% but it’s consistently high above the average 3% especially from Substack organic channels, see:
The kind of high that makes other creators ask, “How are you doing this?”
There’s no secret hack.
I’m just focused on conversion rates:

That’s it.
I track where every subscriber comes from.
I track how long it takes them to convert.
