I tested Pangram yesterday, and the essay that AI assisted with was classed as 100% Human, while the one that I wrote rated as 100% AI... so there are still many flaws in the system.
Because of the detector threat, I rewrote the whole last blog. It still said that it was only 30% human. The only AI that I used this time was to gloss up my picture. I don't understand how useful their tool is if it's that wrong. I'll be the first to admit that there is AI use in my normal posts. With my ADHD kicking in all the time, I use Fieldy AI, a wearable note taker, to give me the info I gathered for my article. Chat or Claude reads this notes to give me back my info in an outline. I finish the rest. I have to agree with you about being able to spot an AI generated post by the second word or sentence. That's not the case with my posts. I think I'm more than 30% human, just don't ask my wife!
I knew you would have an opinion on this or if anything facts and I greatly appreciate the way you presented everything. To me it’s not even about it the writing it’s about the way people judge something based on something that isn’t accurate. Everyone utilizes tools and I just think this could damage so many people unnecessarily. Truly believe we don’t need more reasons to be divided, if you read something and it spoke to you why does it matter what the scan says?
I agree with this post a lot. I have trained my AI for more than two years and it knows exactly how to take my writing, which comes directly out of my head through an audio format because that's the way my creativity flows. Then I take the transcription and, using my style, let AI minions (as you call it) put it into a little bit of a smoother format. Then I go back and edit it.
I don't see a problem with that at all. I would prefer to have somebody's writing be more clear and be a smoother read than for them to be able to say, I wrote every single word myself in this exact order. I think people are really freaking out over the wrong things. Let's just be ourselves and use tools like we have for years. Microsoft Word used to be way out there when it came to writing and now we have AI to help us. I don't see the problem personally.
The problem is the witch hunts of posts written 100% by humans without AI that inaccurately get flagged as AI assisted.
Because those that are AI savvy understand the small AI tells... which... gasp in horror... are actually trained from writerd and are normally good writing.
So many people who dont use AI are being flagged as AI.
Which is going to cause a huge and damaging witch hunt.

Fully agree on that Bonnie...but still people can scan it first and turn it off if they want.
