Ehh, I messed up the links yesterday, so some of you couldn’t join, but its’ all fixed now and here’s a brief summary of what we talked about:
Key Takeaways
New Substack features - more ways to control your feed in the app, collapsed content, freewalls - and how I use all these in combination with audience-specific content. I just saw freewall is already a separate channel, so we should be able to track the growth in the stats.
Engagement Is Key: Growth now depends on high-intensity engagement (fast comments, likes, restacks) and a consistent flow of new free subscribers. Devon confirmed that in the workshop we had on Monday.
Automate to Scale: External tools like Kit are essential for advanced nurture sequences and churn reduction, as Substack’s native automations are limited.
Content Strategy Is Critical: A clear content strategy is needed to balance free subscriber growth with paid conversions. I shared what works best right now.
and so much more…
See you tomorrow at the last QUEST Live, where we wrap up and talk about what’s next :) Watch the QUEST LIVEs recordings here.
This is the place where we share lessons, best practices, find collaborations, and help each other with anything that’s on our plate right now. We grow faster. Together.
