Still a newbie here! Right now I’m focused on growing my subscribers and genuinely love sharing content, notes on aviation, travel experiences, and tips for nervous flyers. Down the line, I’ll monetize more intentionally through digital products for nervous flyers, pre-flight consultations, and other resources. But for now, just enjoying the process and community!
Thanks, Yana! 😊 I already have an ebook, calming audio tracks, and a Q&A section, also a preflight briefing for nervous flyers on my Substack. I'm also exploring building an app that offers real-time info, reassurance tools, and maybe even a “talk to a pilot” feature. Lots of ideas in the works! ✈️💬
Yana! I have been having an internal debate which is that when I paywall a post, Substack automatically prohibits my free subscribers to comment on the post. I know that I still let them consume the content, but I feel that not allowing them to speak their minds is quite constraining.
Yes, that's true. You can always add a poll above the paywall or ask them to reach out to you or maybe restack and say what they think. I honestly don't see this as a contrain, because they can't see the full content anyway, so I'm not sure what the comments can be...
No paywall! Not sure of the benefit IMHO
How do you monetize?

Sounds like a good plan. Do you have an idea what type of Digital products you will have?

Awesome, sounds like a good plan :)
Another fantastic piece. Thanks so much for sharing this fabulous information, Ms. Yana. I have this saved to my notes. Blessings. :)
Thank you so much, Bill!
Thanks Yana.
I’ve been on SubStack since January
Do you have any thoughts on at what point you put posts behind a paywall? Number of views/ likes/ restacks?
From the start :) No need to wait.
