Thank you, Yana. I have been so focused on running my local newspaper, I have spent less time on my "circus" pursuits here on Substack. I moved my paper off of Substack and onto Ghost after a horrible encounter with Substack's new automated support. I agree with this post you wrote, by the way! x
I haven't gone, but I had my priorities shift. Things are good, actually. I remain interested in what you are doing because when I have the ability to shift my focus, I will return to my substack. I lost my bestseller status after I moved my primary publication to Ghost.
OMG Yana this brought so much clarity to my mind! I'm up here thinking what problem can I solve?!? Because nowadays people care about losing weight and making some money. I'm thinking I don't provide that and so it makes it even harder to please people. But you just really broke it down for me to fully understand..solving problems can be emotional, making people laugh can cure depression, yes you're right how to monetize that but when there's a will, there's a way..OMG Thank you for this! Music to my Ears!
i love this article, because I can see the difference between my fiction substack and my professional one, and this article motivates me to try new things and grow that emotion among my readers.
Thank you for the inclusion, Yana. This precisely has been my challenge since I got serious about Substack. The offer and what I solved.
I've concluded since we spoke on Livestream that I'm about giving you excitement and a sense of belonging. Along is you are not weird. You're just you.
Yana, I’m honestly honored to be mentioned here among such brilliant creators. The way you break down the emotional architecture behind what we write why people need circuses as much as bread is mind-blowing. I feel seen and inspired, and I have so much respect for the way you think, create, and elevate others. Thank you for shining this light it’s a reminder of why we do what we do, and why sharing our unique perspective matters more than ever. ✨ 🥹 🙏🏽
Thank you so much! I got inspired by Marcus but as I was writing and it was evolving, I thought about you and our recent conversation about how you can influence others so much in so many ways. Opportunities are limitless
Ever since that conversation I have been thinking about it all so different and truly just thankful to you for providing such a beautiful perspective 🫶🏼✨

Thanks Whitney. Sorry to see you go, what happened?

Oh, that’s good news (that you plan to return). Looking forward, Whitney :)
Tv. Sports. ENTERTAINMENT.
All a circus.
If you’re a creator, amazing, less keen on the consuming of it.

Yes it is definitely growing differently for sure. Thanks, Alba!
Very inspiring post, Yana. And thanks for the mention.
Every form of writing solves a more or less deeply anchored problem. To bring in the emotions that touch the readers nerves is the real art.
Happy writing to all of you!
Thank you so much, Daniel! Emotions are a great driver for growth

Excitement and a sense of belonging - I love that!
Thank you. It took some time to see it, and I'm sure there's more behind it.
for sure, just keep refining it, until you get that one feeling when you tell yourself “this is it” :)
I will work on that;)
Excellent post, Yana!
Thanks, Joel!
