In April I hit two milestones - 10,000 total subscribers and 500 paid. To celebrate I wrote a comprehensive “Substack for Beginners” course in one single post:

It’s now my most read, liked and shared post, bringing me the most free subscribers ever since I started this Substack, look at this:
How I “engineered” virality? This post didn’t take off in the beginning. But I wrote it intentionally to take off, it had the meat. So I implemented multiple tactics to drive more eyeballs and engagement to it so that Substack algorithm can pick it up. And it did. I’m gonna publish a case study soon in my Write2Sell column.
The more important question for this post is: what $$$ did it bring?
Because when you run a business on Substack you have three major jobs:
To get consistent new subscribers
To convert them to buyers
To keep them paying
